Ida Esmaeili is a Swedish-Iranian actor and writer currently based in New York, NY. She spent her early childhood in Sweden, began acting in her formative years while living in Singapore, spent a year becoming a scuba diving instructor in Indonesia, and studied Shakespeare at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.

Ida earned her BFA in Musical Theatre (with an emphasis in Acting, Songwriting and Playwriting) from The Boston Conservatory at Berklee, and is currently pursuing her MFA in Playwriting at Columbia University, under the tutelage of Lynn Nottage, Charles Mee, and David Henry Hwang.

She also speaks 4 languages (Swedish, English, Farsi, French) and is very passionate about shark conservation and breakfast for dinner.
